Privacy Policy

Our programs are uniquely designed to provide users with customized information and tools to help them communicate with their health care provider. White-label products feature patient tracking technologies, which enable clinical analysis of an individual’s progress.

Some aspects of our programs require sign-up and the collection of personal information. As users proceed through our programs they are asked for other information specific to their symptoms and situations. The following outlines the type of information collected, what it is used for, and our privacy policy on the data that is collected.

V-CC Systems Inc. strictly adheres to international laws that protect your privacy. Our programs and data collection methodologies follow guidelines set forth by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA – Canada), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPPA – United States of America) and Directive 2002/58/EC (Directive on Privacy and Electronic Communications – European Union).

What kind of information is collected and why?

Our Programs

First Name: Our software is personalized, so in order to save your personal information so you can log in at a later date we need your first name, an alias or a screen name. We do not record your first name, alias or screen name.
Email Address: Your email address is required so we can email your program access information to your email account. We do this for security purposes to help reduce spam from appearing in our Support Groups. For security purposes, we suggest that all users sign up with an anonymous Yahoo! or Hotmail Email account. In some areas of our programs we provide users the option of emailing their results to their health care professional. This is only a service we provide and we do not save these email addresses in a database.
Data: Any data that is collected is cumulative and is only compiled with data from other program participants. We do not keep individual statistics.

Our Support Groups

Registration: To deter advertisers and marketers, we require registration. We encourage all users to remain anonymous.
Email Address: For reasons mentioned above, we require users to register with a valid email address. We forward access information to that address. We do not collect or distribute email addresses.
Nick Name: All community members choose a nickname. We strongly encourage users to choose a nickname, an alias or to only use their first name.
User Agreement: To access our communities all new members must accept our Support Group User Agreement.

How will cumulative data be used?
V-CC Systems and independent academic researchers and/or accredited academic organizations conduct research to further enhance the understanding of disease conditions, and we also conduct research to improve our programs. We will not sell data to third parties.

Your involvement in a world-wide information and support program
Our programs are truly unique as they allow our members to be active in a world-wide, ongoing effort to give people more control of their health. Research data is only reviewed on the basis of population. At no time will our member's names be associated with any of the information generated from our programs. Data will only be reviewed by researchers who have signed Non-Disclosure Agreements and have received written permission from V-CC Systems Inc.
